Fall is in the air! With the leaves falling and the temperatures cooling there are even more opportunities to get involved in the veteran community!
This month, the annual Marine Corps Marathon will be taking place on October 30th! Not only will True North be attending the event, but it will be running the marathon to help raise funds for the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, which is a beneficiary of the event.

What We've Been Up To
Stay In Step Gala
True North had the pleasure to help sponsor and attend this year's Stay In Step Gala in Tampa, FL. The event was a great success that raised a large sum of money for the brain and spinal cord injury community.
During 9/11 this year True North employee, Riley Gregoire, decided to participate in one of her local veteran nonprofit's, Permission to Start Dreaming, 1/2 Marathon. They work with veterans and active duty members who are looking to conquer PTSD.
BLOG: 3 Ways You Can Support Gold Star Families
Gold Star families routinely display strength and courage that goes far beyond what is expected of civilians. Not because they want to, but because they must.
The mission of True North, to make a positive contribution to the veteran community and inspire our peers to prioritize charitable actions, is more important than ever. The COVID-19 crisis has caused widespread uncertainty and stress, and for our nation's heroes recovering from physical injuries, seeking treatment for PTS, seeking meaningful employment, or simply providing for their families, this pandemic has exacerbated the challenges they already face. Physical distancing and social isolation have increased the need for support, and we remain committed to the partnerships that embody our True North.
As part of our mission, we strive to connect veterans and their families with the support they need. If you, or someone you know, seeks resources to help navigate the challenges of veteran transition, please let us know here.
